Sushi, in
essence a complex cylinder of American art glass, is actually
formed from three separate, overlapping, curved petals, intertwining yet
not touching. These leaves of glass are cut on the bias in a rhombic
figure which adds to the grace of the light. Functioning as task,
ambient and decorative lighting, the Sushi gives three times the
value of lesser lights.
The Sushi is available in the standard size and
in the smaller, Mini-Sushi. Click on the thumbnails to get information
on both sizes.
The Sushi is supplied with a 4' drop cord
as standard in either white or black with matching canopy. Drop tubes
are available in brass, chrome, bronze or black with matching canopy for
an additional $30. Up
to 4' of drop tube is included in the price. Tube length in excess of 4'
are $10 per additional foot.

A unique light, Sushi
performs three discrete functions: 1. It is a direct source of light (task
light) shining downward providing ample working light for reading or
manual work. 2. It is an ambient light projecting a portion of
its output directly upward, bouncing the light off the ceiling and
filling the space with soft, indirect light of the most flattering kind.
3. It provides decorative light through the beauty of this
American made art glass. At the last count, we offer more than 15
choices for art glass. Check the "Glass and Finish Notes" link
at the top of this page.
The three glass segments, cut in
rhombic shape, interweave letting the light play off the curved surfaces
emphasizing the beautiful quality of these art glasses. Sushi
has a wonderfully delicate feeling with great strength, an unusual and
dynamic combination. A dramatic form in contemporary lighting, it is
unlike anything you will find elsewhere.
