Vortex, a hyper-cylinder of American art glass,  is actually formed from three separate, overlapping, curved petals, intertwining yet not touching. These leaves of glass are cut on the bias in a rhombic figure which adds to the grace of the light.  The extraordinary quality of this rich American art glass has to be seen to be truly appreciated. The Vortex is supplied with a 4' drop cord as standard in either white or black with matching canopy. Drop tubes are available in brass, chrome, bronze or black with matching canopy. Up to 4' of drop tube is included in the $30 upcharge price. Tube length in excess of 4' is $10 per additional foot. The Vortex can be grouped together on metal drop tubes with a radial configuration in groups of 2, 3 4, 5 or 6 pieces. Call for pricing on these pendant groupings.

• 1. It is a direct source of light (task light) shining downward providing ample working light for reading or manual work. 

• 2. It is an ambient light projecting a portion of its output directly upward, bouncing the light off the ceiling and filling the space with soft, indirect light of the most flattering kind.
