The Athena sconce has deco overtones with classic style. The hammered texture is emphasized with the flake gold leaf finish, illustrated here. It is also available in many other finishes including silver leaf, copper leaf, verdigris, wrought iron and various combinations. This flake gold consists of small sections of gold leaf applied over a black ground, revealing the darkness beneath. Flake gold can also be totally opaque covering the sconce with thousands of small facets giving the piece a highly textured detail. |
