Prometheus stole fire from the gods and gave it to man. Thank you,
Prometheus. The fire motif can also be interpreted as water, as an
interesting contrast.
Copper is treated with a special acid to induce a greater aged effect with colors of green and green/blue overlaying some visible copper. Again, this is a natural and somewhat random effect, one of the virtues of the acid finish. Light is projected from the top and bottom of the sconce, washing the wall in an interesting pattern and providing a flattering overall illumination.
