The Kyoto wall sconce (F411) depicts a group of freely modeled sections of bamboo with correct botanical detail. This is an up-down light which has a very dramatic effect in interior settings. Here we have applied gold leaf on top of a black lacquer ground and carefully remove the leaf on the highpoints. This lends a wonderfully rich character to the piece. No two will ever be exactly the same.
